We will be delivering an accredited Level 4 Aim Awards Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People in June 2022. This course will be delivered over 12 weeks, from Tuesday 7th  June  2022, from 6 pm to 10 pm. There are no entry requirements. However, those working with this group or who wish to learn how to approach difficult situations your children face are especially welcome.

With Children and Young people's mental health issues on the rise, we will be providing information and tuition on using counselling skills whilst working within specific settings. We will also offer education around play and sand therapy etc. The course will focus heavily on various issues, including working with teenagers and suicidal ideation, covid-19, self-harm, bulimia nervosa, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, phobias, bullying, and more. In addition, the importance of how to look after self, how to apply ethics, and how and when referrals should be made will be covered.

We will also examine the three main approaches when working with children and young people, such as CBT, person-centred, but a particular emphasis will be placed on psychodynamic ways when working with this age group. This course is suitable for anyone working with children and young people, especially teachers, social workers, teachers, community development workers, youth workers, nurses, counsellors and many more. We are very aware that some students may have been out of academic study for years, and some students may be facing this for the first time. JMC will fully support all students to ensure this doesn't become a stumbling block. Assessment: 2000-word essay marked internally by the tutors, that's it!

Fees have been reduced from £895.00 to just £595.00. A further discount of £100.00 will be applied for students paying in cash up front, so just £495.00. Students can also pay by deposit of £295.00 followed by three monthly payments of £100 in June 2022, July 2022 and August 2022. The total amount payable is £595.00.

Finally, as this course is accredited at level 4, this will be a fantastic addition to your CV, and it will help employers with decision making when it comes to employment.
