From 6-10 pm-12 weeks

This 12-week course is perfect for those who are in a professional position such as nursing, teaching, social work or any profession where contact with the general public is a must. Students will learn about specific communication skills and how these skills are applied professionally and ethically. In addition, candidates will learn how to apply the main three theoretical approaches, humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural theory, in a manner which will enhance communicating with others.

Those working in a professional capacity should always do so with 'self-care' and 'self-awareness' in mind. JMC Counselling & Training place a heavy emphasis on just that, assisting participants to identify the 'warning signs' and subsequently, addressing any issues that potentially could arise.

Finally, this course is an absolute must, for students who wish to progress to our level 4, professional accredited diploma in counselling practice which will begin on January the 6th 2021. The level 3 certificate is mandatory, and actually forms part of the level 4 diploma.

Below you will find a letter outlining everything you will need to know about this course, as well as the course learning outcomes and assessment criteria. In addition, please complete the application form attached, and return this to us at

Your application will be assessed, and a decision made within 24 hours of us receiving your completed application.
